PUMP TRACKS IN SCHOOLS

Some smart cookie managed to get Auckland Point School in Nelson to build a pump track on their grounds!! Kelly McGarry was one of the men behind the shovel, and the local paper helped catapult him further to fame in the Nelson region (see pic after the break).

Oh to be a kid at that school!

Cheers for the compliment. Yep, pretty great to have the track up and running. I’ve got two boys at Auckland Point School and they and their mates are rapt with the track.
Damian (Bikeworks), Kelly and Karl did a great job.
It took a year to get it all sorted and raise the money but seeing the smiles on the kids faces and their wide eyes when they saw the track was all worth it.
