Bike Check: Jerome Clementz Cannondale Jekyll

Posted by Caleb Smith on Friday December 16 2011

Among a slew of other podiums this year Cannondale rider Jerome Clementz won The Mega Avalanche, The Mountain of Hell, The Enduro of Nations and most recently the Trans Provence. Right now though he’s travelling the length of New Zealand taking in the sights and the trails (and later on maybe a few rounds of the Nationals in DH). While he was staying with us in Wellington we got him to give us the low down on the fastest enduro bike on the planet, his personal Cannondale Jekyll. Excuse the distracting two-year-olds and the neighbour’s horrible dogs…

Fox Shox got on board to create this trick travel adjustable rear shock.

This simple lever adjusts both the fork and rear shock's travel and the bike's geometry.

Jerome is about to be part of the SRAM Black Box Enduro/All-Mountain squad, so I'd say the days of running production Rock Shox Lyriks are numbered.

After meeting Mark Weir a couple of years ago Jerome signed to WTB. He exclusively runs WTB's TCS tyres and was rocking the Bronsons up front and Wolverines out the back.

The frame is beefy, this head tube mates to a massive down tube, but Jerome's build still only weighs in at 28 pounds.

When you're as fast as Jerome you get custom graphics and custom colours (not even Weir gets his own coloured bike).
