Shimano launches gateway group

Shimano has released a promo for the new Zee DH/Freeride group. They call it a “gateway” component group, hopefully leading riders on a budget or new to the expensive gravity market to the new Saint groupset a bit later on.

I like the concept(and I’m sure the components are good), but falls a little short on delivery – starting at the name. Zee? What were they thinking?

You know nothing john snow… i mean Mark…. Zee is the name of Mike Ferrintino’s (Santa Cruz’s marketing manager) doberman. Just show’s how close Shimano and SC now are since SRAM left the party…
