1 x 11 for the Masses

Posted by Brett S Kennedy on Wednesday July 3 2013

As Caleb’s been carrying a zip drive with details of SRAM’s new X01 groupset around the world with him, we haven’t gotten around to posting anything up on it until now. As you may know, SRAM is bringing the technology of XX1 down to a more affordable price point so more riders can run 1 x 11 gearing without mortgaging the house.

Like big brother, X01 offers a range of five chainring sizes, trigger or Grip Shift options, X-Horizon Type 2 rear derailleur and the 10-42 11 speed cassette.

    Any idea on $$ yet?

Almost worth going grip shift just to get that ‘Rolling Thunder’ technology!

I’m guessing I’ll still have to wait for X71 before I can have this! What’s Shimano up to in response?
