This weekend as part of the MTB Trails and Clubs conference in Wellington, Trail Fund NZ will be holding their Annual General Meeting. Naturally because the organisation was launched at one pub it makes sense that the AGM is being held at another. It’s kicking off at 6pm on Saturday the 14th of September at the Southern Cross Garden Bar and then at 7pm it becomes a social event and fundraiser for the Dodzy Skills Park, a new project underway in Rotorua. Led by the team from Bike Culture on behalf of the Rotorua Mountain Bike Club the Dodzy Skills Park will be a lasting and fun memorial for James “Dodzy” Dodds. On Saturday there will be a charity auction with all the proceeds going to the DSP project to help pay for construction of the dirt jumps that will be in the park. Sponsors include Wide Open Distributors (Gravity), Schwalbe Tyres, CamelBak NZ, Cactus Equipment, Endura NZ, Revolution Products (Chromag), Black Seal Imports (Yeti Cycles), Burkes Cycles, Revolution Bikes and Hurunui Jacks.
All welcome, so come along and have a bit of fun, grab some cool swag in the auction and perhaps a spot prize. Beer, good banter and food. Perfect.
