Public Service Announcment from Taika Waititi and Maori TV

Posted by Caleb Smith on Tuesday September 17 2013

Three Maori boys find themselves in a situation familiar to most kids growing up in New Zealand – sitting outside in the car, waiting for one of their dads to come out and drive one of them home. The only thing is, the dad has been blazing, and the kids know it. We watch them change from comical to contemplative, as they examine their own awareness of their dads’ behaviour in the raucous, imaginative way only young boys can.

I don’t know what you mean by the first sentence, and most of the kids that I grew up with wouldn’t, either.
And blazing? You mean this? http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=blazing
I’m so out of touch…we just called it smoking a joint but I guess blazing does sound more dynamic. Kind of ironic, really.
Anyway…what’s the connection with mountain biking again…?
