Jeff and Kim have been working away on the finer details of this awesome Rotorua based Go Native Enduro Event coming up on January 18th 2014.  Full event details are in our earlier post here and you can enter online hereG14_650M_Force_FRM_TEAM_CRB

Title Sponsor GT Bicycles have confirmed that the major spot prize for the event will be a sparkling new carbon fibre GT Force frame.  This is an amazing bike and one of the most competent Enduro trail bikes currently available in New Zealand. Get into your local dealer for a test ride.

goenduro-numberplate_002The number plate design has been released and in a first (that I’ve seen) for a New Zealand event, entrants that enter before Christmas will have their names and race numbers on their plates – a pretty cool memento to keep from the event.  You can still enter after Christmas but you’ll just get a standard plate with your race number.

With the release yesterday of the exciting new iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch Trailmapps App for Rotorua, you can check out all the Go Native course maps including stage start and finish locations (along with all the trails in Whakarewarewa Forest).  The app uses the device’s inbuilt GPS to show you your location on screen, along with a host of other cool features.  After the initial app download, no data is required to use the GPS function or have all the trail info at your fingertips.  An Android version of the app is expected to be released in the Google Play store early in 2014.  You can download the Apple version now in the App Store, search for Trailmapps Rotorua (yes there are two p’s). Or use your QR code reader on your phone to scan the code below.qrcode.18881545Lastly if you don’t want to enter but are keen to be involved as a marshal, contact kim@southstaradventures.  All marshals will receive one of these awesome Go Native New Era Snap Back capsLD4327(1)

I am so amped for this event—Rainbow Mountain’s Te Ranga trail and the stage on the Western Okataina are both wicked fun trails and having the opportunity to race on them both in one day, and with the shuttles on Rainbow, this is one event you don’t want to miss this summer!
