Our boy Alex ‘De Snor’ Revell was on the job in Hoogerheide, Netherlands overnight, battling it out with Angus Edmond for best Kiwi cyclocrosser in the World Championships. Alex came out on top, finishing one spot ahead of Angus, and both only two laps down on the winner, crosser-cum-roadie-cum-part-time-crosser Zdenek Stybar. The Czech had an epic battle with Belgian legend Sven Nys, and it’s well worth checking out the highlights video…

Stay tuned for Alex’s firsthand report soon…

In the women’s race, the greatest cyclist ever in the history of cycling, Marianne Vos, took her seventh CX World title to add to her current World and Olympic Road Race jerseys. She’s an absolute stud. Katie Compton had a bad day out, the current World Cup champion getting a terrible start before working her way back to 4th, then fading to 9th by race end.
