Burry Stander killed by a taxi on a training ride

South African cross-country machine and all round good guy Burry Stander has been killed in a road accident while on a training ride. The 25-year-old, who finished fifth at the London Olympics in 2012, was killed in a collision with a taxi in Shelly Beach, a town in the KwaZulu-Natal province on South Africa's east coast.

He was also a former Under-19 and Under-23 world champion and finished third in the 2010 World Championships.
