Work For Spoke (and no money)

Sounds tempting huh? Maybe not the no money bit, but if you want to experience the fast-paced world of magazine production and the dizzying heights of social media, then have we got the job for you!

Basically, we need a bit of help around the office... that could mean anything from posting on our website, updating social media channels, searching the thesaurus for just the, um, right word, placating photographers and writers who scare me too much, shooting some photos, or making five cups of coffee before 11am. Espresso machine training provided. Sometimes, we might get to ride bikes too.

Ideally, you will be a mountain biker with a strong knowledge of and passion for the sport, an interest in (or a student of) photography, be able to string some sentences together, know your way around a computer and spend too much time on Facebook and Instagram. You will live in Wellington, be able to get to Petone a couple of days a week, and be available to deal with panicked texts asking you to post up that new MacAskill video at the most inconvenient time. Payment in stickers, t-shirts and small parts occasionally forthcoming, while gratitude and platitude is abundant.

So if that does sound tempting, drop an email to brett@spokemagazine.com and tell us why you want to be part of the Spoke team and what you can bring to the table (hint: beer always works)... all bribes equally considered.
