I’ve been getting frustrated with how much junk there is in my garage of late… There’s a bunch of stuff that I should have gotten rid of ages ago, so I’ve started putting some of it on TradeMe. First up there’s this rubbish 21″ 2002 Giant XTC SE1… seriously, it’s a fricken light hardtail and weighs less than three pounds, oh it comes with a dent in the top tube.

Secondly I have this sexy steel 19″ 1993(ish) Marin Pine Mountain which comes complete with an XT front derailleur. Both starting on TradeMe at $5… Get bidding. PINE MOUNTAIN IS SOLD! NICE WORK SPOKE READERS!!!

San Rafael singletrack

Over the weekend I was fortunate enough to have some spare time in the city of San Francisco. A visit to this part of the world wouldn’t be complete without an excursion to check out the riding in the area that is generally regarded as the birth place of mountain biking, Marin County.

Local riders, film makers, and good friends; Jason Watkins and Wendy Todd were kind enough to lend me a bike and show me around the trails on their back doorstep in the city of San Rafael .

The weather was scorching. The trails were dry, fast, and flowing.
