As promised here is the Wellington premiere date for Anthill’s new film Strength In Numbers. I may have just watched it and may be pretty damn awesome. Some of you may recall that Life Cycles sold out, so it may pay to get in quick to secure your ticket. If you haven’t watched the trailer yet it’s below again.

I received an email from Wellington rider Wade Kenchington that pointed me to this rad little POV YouTube clip he’s put together. He did say it’s not about tricks and getting rad but having fun enjoying a variety of riding. He did however add a little disclaimer just for me: “Sorry, you won’t find any fixies or 29ers here.”

Even though most of you are MTB riders you should watch this. Did I mention the total prize purse for this event is $30,000 AUD (it’s held once a year in Wellington). Anyway here are the open finals from the 2011 Wellington Bowl-A-Rama, congratulations to Pedro Barros for taking the title again at just 15 years old.

SUPER D(ARK) COMING SOONISH

That’s right, Jono finally got his stuff together and organised a winter Super D series. There are some cool tracks and twists planned for the series and we will be posting all the info you need up here on the Spoke website. For the uninitiated don’t be afraid, these aren’t hardcore downhill races, if anything Super D can best be described as Technical-XC-Downhill. So don’t be afraid about turning up on your Blur XC (just bring an allen key cos you may want to lower the seat a tiny bit) but you will have more fun on a six inch bike like a Nomad.
