In Wellington and wondering what to do this anniversary long weekend? Be sure to check out The Escape From Mt Crawford at the Miramar Track Project on Monday 25th of January, an annual fundraising event for the Miramar Track Project. Miramar’s varied trials will offer excitement in spades for competitors and spectators alike.
On offer are three events:
The Escape From Mt Crawford (Mini Enduro) – Three timed runs on three different tracks, the lowest combined time for three completed runs takes the win. There will be a non-timed liaison stage back up to the top and you must make it back up under your own steam, any motorised assistance will earn a disqualification and the disappointment of your peers.
The Sufferfest Hill Climb – As it sounds, remember pain is weakness leaving your body. Luckily for some competing in this event is optional and free with your entry fee.
The Kids Mini D – At the end of the day we’re all big kids on expensive toys but this event is for those under 12. $2 entry on the day between 11.30 and 12.30pm with a start time of 1.00pm.
It’s on the day entry of $40 at this point. Your entry fee will go towards the purchase of a new compactor for the Miramar Track Project which will also be made available for use on other Wellington trail projects.
