Avid launch new Elixir 9 and Elixir 7 Trail brakes

You have to love trickle down technology! It seems that just the other day the groundbreaking Avid XO Trail stopper came out and we’re already seeing the svelte four-piston package in two new economical versions. I’ve been running the XO Trails for the past six months and I can attest to their amazing modulation and stopping power (I’m running 180 rotors front and rear). The only major differences that would make you want to buy the XOs over these two new brakes is the fact that XO Trails still come with rotors, the new 7 and 9 Trail models come without (although that gives you the chance to customise your setup). The other big difference is fact that like the Codes, the levers on the XO Trails pivot on bearings for less wear and absolute minimal lever play, whereas the 7 and 9 both pivot on bushings.
