Bicycle Safety on Acid

If you like a bit of surrealism with your community safety videos, this clip from 1963 will trip you out. It features a bunch of kids going for a picnic ride while inexplicably wearing ape masks, a bit of fat shaming, stereotyping and grisly deaths aplenty. And some pretty darn useful safety tips too.

It’s a bit disturbing how the surviving kid just continues on to the park and eats his dead friends’ lunches… played by a young Jeffery Dahmer maybe?

I stumbled upon it while watching Aphex Twin videos, when it popped up on this Boards Of Canada track… I didn’t sleep well after this.
