A couple of years ago Leif, Mark, Simeon and I tried very hard to enter the Rotorua MTB clubs Triple Crown event. Two cancellations later and a closed forest (they even had security guards) we never did end up racing. Well the event is back and its pretty much a must do. The race consists of three all mountain descents, one off Billy T, one off Hot X Buns and one off Eastern Spice and an after party feed of fish and chips. The race is on the 16th of May and limited to 50 people ( you must be a member of the Rotorua Club, but you can always join just to race) more details here.
