The first round of the Enduro World Series made its first stop of the season on Saturday. The first round was held in Rotorua, New Zealand and was held as part of Crankworx Rotorua 2015. The race was capped at 400 riders and public entries sold out in a matter of minutes. The first ever EWS round held in New Zealand saw all the usual suspects attend just like any big European round.
Unfortunately Jared Graves, current Enduro World Champion, was not able to race due to injuries sustained a few weeks ago while training back home.
Local boy Wyn Masters went into the race as somewhat of an underdog but came out third overall just 1.5 seconds back on Jerome Clements.
