Quick update to say what a crazy weekend it’s been here at the US Open in Vernon ,NJ. The track has gone from dry to slippery and back to dry for the finals, challenging conditions to ride with. Gnarly crashes through training from just about everyone (including myself). But I have to say, its the only mountain bike race I’ve ever raced where in the main rock garden there was a DJ setup and the crowd there was something else. I really don’t think I’ve heard noise like that even at World Champs! Its packing up time in the Trek pits so I better go sort myself out, flying out to Scotland tomorrow for the World Cup Round Two….
