Today is the magical “Public” day where it seems the majority of Germany descends on lil old Friedrichshafen. Its an absoloute gem of a day for people watchers like myself. Seeing as it is a Bike Show, it is only logical that you strut round in your lycra, even if you did drive to the venue.
Below is a gentlemen I spotted on the Specialized stand perusing the Demo DH bikes…….

This Guy is just to remind everyone that Eurobike is in fact in Europe:

On a slightly more serious note; One of my favourite booths to visit is the Pinion stand. Pinion offer a “ready to fit” gearbox. Aspiring frame builders/ manufacturers just have to work the mounting bolt pattern into their frame and Voila – one tidy looking Gearbox equipped Bike. I have had the pleasure of riding it a few times and it is faultlessly smooth. First released 3 years ago, they have managed  to capture the eye of a few manufacturers.

Most manufacturers seem to be embracing the disease that is “Fatbikes”, however the guys at Kraftstoff have gone above and beyond on the design front. A Test bike is winging its way to Spoke as we speak,so expect a full review from Caleb shortly.

Whilst we are on the subject of wacky bikes (unfortunately the guy couldn’t speak English, so wasn’t able to find out what is going on here):

The German hall is always full of some of the most exciting and progressive  ideas/ projects. This company specializes in lightweight bits and bobs, culminating in a 6.4 Kg build:

Oh, and it just wouldn’t be a Eurobike round-up without a shot of the Kellys Booth girls getting ready. Kellys Bikes aren’t renowned for the most Bad Ass bikes out there, so every year they compensate by having Live Body painting on their Booth.
