After a great first day’s racing, it looked like there was a certain win waiting for Justin Leov at the EWS in Valloire, France. Still leading going into the penultimate stage, a puncture put paid to not only the win but knocked him back to the 30s, before winning the last stage to climb back to 11th. Jared Graves put a bad first day behind him and grabbed his chance, finishing just four seconds ahead of René Wildhaber with Damien Oton in third.
Justin’s Trek teammate Tracy Moseley kept it all together to dominate Anne-Caroline Chausson and Anneke Beerten. Rosara Joseph finished in her favourite position of 6th, with a good weekend of consistent riding, while Meg Bichard kept up her great form finishing right behind Rosara in 7th!
Leov would’ve led the overall but for the puncture, but still sits in 2nd and is looking good to keep the battle with Graves going down to the wire.
