It looks suspiciously like there’s a changing of the guard in the EWS, with a lot of the big name riders being pushed down the leaderboard by a host of new fast guys. Richie Rude leads the way after day 1 in Tweedlove by a scant 2 seconds from last round winner Greg Callaghan. Justin Leov sits 9th, Wyn Masters 16th and Joe Nation 24th.
In the women’s race it’s business as usual with Tracy Moseley and Anne-Caro taking their customary spots at the top and only a minute separating the top 4. Meggie Bichard and Raewyn Morrison sit just outside the top ten in 11th and 12th and Anka Martin not far behind in 18th.
