Evil bikes have been getting a lot of love from the overseas press for a while now, but here in NZ we have been largely deprived of their death and doom themed bikes, until now. Adrenaline MTB is a new distributor, and they are bringing in Evil and some selected brands as of right now. We got to check out the first shipment of bikes and get the lowdown on them.
First up, the Undead. This is the DH bike that Sarah Atkin will be taking to the World Champs in Norway this year, and her first impressions are nothing short of astounded, we’re told. It’s a carbon framed, 205mm travel beast with attention to detail that’s pretty impressive. Check out that integrated fork bumper/cable guide…
Carbon downtube guard and flippable suspension chips. Rather than try and explain what’s going on there, watch this instead…
Ok, this is where it gets interesting… On the Undead, you can adjust the head angle by simply reversing the headset cups front to back! Along with the suspension chips, there are four different geometry combinations possible, but the suspension’s leverage rate remains the same in whatever mode you choose.
There’s a substantial amount of carbon in the swingarm and around the BB area. A removable carbon shock guard is a cool touch.
Fox RC2 shock, Shimano Saint everywhere, and all for $8499…

The bike that Bike Magazine (and others) raved about, the Uprising is the 150mm trail/all-duro weapon that proves that 26″ definitely ain’t dead.
Same DELTA suspension as the Undead, same flippable chips to adjust geometry/BB height.
No internal cable routing, but pretty clean lines and one of the coolest head tube junctions we’ve seen.
Direct mount front derailleur, ISCG tabs, Fox Float CTD, would you like Flip Chips with that?
X0 2×10 drivetrain, e13 wheelset, Maxxis rubber and X0 Trail brakes adorn this build, but framesets are available if you want to build your dream bike just how you like it.
