Back in November last year we brought you a bit of an in-depth first look at the 100mm travel carbon Turner Czar. We even dropped some photos of Matt Scoles and Conor Macfarlane learning just how capable this bike is and that travel by no means determines a bike’s end use, or the fun level had while riding it. Well as of last week, Spoke‘s long time collaborator and contributor Simeon Patience (he shoots all our amazing product photos for the magazine) has just taken delivery of his very own CZAR frame and built it up into a bit of a dream bike for review in our December issue.
Not one to skimp on the finer things, the build includes Kashima coated CTD Floats both front and rear, an XX1 drive train and Halo carbon wheels…
…up front there’s a sweet ENVE cockpit with Sweep flat bars, a 80mm X4 stem and SDG grips.
… and the build is rounded out with some very hot new SRAM Guide R brakes. Damn! We haven’t even seen these in the office yet!
Simeon’s CZAR brings the Spoke staff Turner count to three now; founder Emma Gee is on a 5 Spot, editor Brett Kennedy is on a 650b Burner and now Simeon is onto his second with this new CZAR. With a longer travel carbon trail bike rumoured to be on the way things are looking pretty exciting in the Turner camp.
