Craig Madsen from CycleTech negotiated his way to Spoke Towers recently and showed us some of the new range of clothing from their latest brand acquisition Zoic. The Zoic name has been around in the mountain biking scene since the early 90s, and has been having a bit of a renaissance of late.

The Ether Plaid short (above) is a lightweight short with a removable liner. The cut falls just above the knee and the stretchy material is made from recycled polyester. There’s heaps of features built in to this short like a sunglass wipe, headphone cord keeper, flat taped seams but best of all two hand pockets, something missing from some of our other favourite shorts. The Nirvana Zip jersey blurs the line between a casual shirt, jersey and tee, with a 10″ neck zipper, chest pocket, two side pockets and a light, wicking polyester/nylon fabric. $119.90

The Ether Premium short is a longer short, falling just over the knees and preventing the dreaded twat gap. They come with the RPL detachable liner and the fabric is a slightly heavier duty that the Ethers. $169.90

Zoic-Brett-top-632x377Last up is the Nirvana jersey, a full-button up riding shirt that evokes the grunge days of yore. Zippered back pocket, two chest pockets and same light fabric as its zippered brother make it easy to go from the trail to the pub. $119.90
