Want to commute by bicycle, but don’t feel confident enough in traffic? Victoria University researcher Kah Chan has collaborated with the New Zealand Transport Authority, the Greater Wellington Regional Council and a group of Wellington cyclists to put together a pilot series of commuter videos.
The videos show specific commuting routes from Karori, Melling (Lower Hutt), Miramar, Island Bay, Hataitai, and Johnsonville to the Wellington CBD, demonstrating different ways of safely negotiating traffic through various routes. Each video is accompanied with a JourneyPlanner map.
