I’m running out of funny titles for HammerSchmidt, actually I only had one and it wasn’t that good. Anyway Peter from SRAM/Worralls came down today to install three sets of HammerSchmidt All-Mountain on my 09 Nomad, Leif Roy’s SX Trail and Rod Bardsley’s Reign XO. No one installation was the same (although the Nomad was the easiest!).
We are starting an extensive review tomorrow which you will be able to read about in the next issue of Spoke. And just in case you need me to spell it out, the above photo is what HammerSchmidt weighs (shifter, BB, and cranks) and the below photo is what my current Gravity GAP crankset and X9 shifter weighs in at. As you can see it’s pretty darn close.
