If you follow our friends over at Bike magazine, you might have seen their beautiful feature on the overnight trip they took earlier this on the Te Iringa track with Mike Hopkins… check it out here. They’ve just released this video of their adventure on one of the North Island’s best out and back rides/hikes.

This past March, we escaped the crowds and competitive atmosphere of Crankworx Rotorua for an overnight adventure on a remote stretch of New Zealand singletrack. Led by freerider Mike Hopkins, we took on the North Island’s Te Iringa Track, a challenging route littered with hike-a-bikes, sketchy bridge crossings, and, of course, some pristine trail. We arrived at the Oamaru Hut after the first day completely spent, glad to have a roof over our heads and a fire burning under it, and giddy with anticipation for the next day’s descent back to the trailhead.
