The bike forums are abuzz this morning after media at Lapierre’s and Ghost’s Morzine launch were given first look at the new SRAM Electronic Intelligence collab. MBUK’s Andrew Dodd got his tweet up first but it seems everyone else wants a piece of the pie. It’s pretty fricken intense; sensors in the cranks determine whether the bike is being pedalled or not and sensors in the front fork can sense and get the rear shock to react to terrain before it hits the back wheel, supposedly in 0.01 seconds. It’s all controlled from a bike computer-sized head unit mounted on the stem.

As usual Pinkbike.com think they know everything and have the most in depth info so far. But what I can tell you that they can’t is that Bikes international will be bringing in a few bikes sporting this technology. But I’m guessing it won’t be cheap.
