It’s looking like Answer are aiming to step up their MTB game again, having signed freeride stalwart Aaron Chase and dropped a bunch of new product over the last few months. So while I was waiting for one box in particular to show up from Hayes Bicycle Group (Answer, Manitou, Hayes and Sun Ringle) these Pro Taper AM bars and sweet velcro-less Flat Line gloves showed up. The bar isn’t on a bike yet but everything about it adds up: 1″ rise, 4º up sweep and 8º back sweep and throw in the mix 7050 aluminium and you get a 720mm bar that weighs 320 grams. Oh and you get a fixie/DH cut down guide as well.
And when it comes to the Fall Line XC glove, Answer have got it bang on in the ‘less is more’ department; a simple design with plenty of grip, not much stitching and no Velcro fastening system. Sizing wise the large fits me perfectly (I’m usually an XL).
