MTBNZ just dropped the first selection (final team named July 12th) for the MTB Worlds later this year. Wide Open team members Samara Sheppard (u23 XC) and Jay Barrett (u19 DH- pictured above) are in the list.
Check out the full list after the jump….MTBNZ has great pleasure in announcing the long list of athletes for the 2011 World Mountainbike Championships. This long list contains athletes who have already qualified their selection through performances at key events this summer, as well as athletes who may be on the cusp of selection but who need to further demonstrate that they can meet the performance benchmark required.
Final NZ Mountainbike Team selection takes place on July 12th this year.
