It’s race day at the Corona Dirt Masters DH race in Queenstown. This is the final line being set up at 8am this morning. Town can’t wait for the afternoon where riders will be starting at the top of the gondola and hammering all the way down to the Brecon Street steps. This is mountain bike racing at its best!

These are the Brecon Street steps and the finish line where we will find out who is the very first Corona Dirt Masters DH champion. Reon Boe was quickest in qualification yesterday with Eddie Masters and Jed Rooney just back from him. The weather dampened a little yesterday but dried up fast throughout the afternoon and it looks like we are in for a scorcher today. Easter Sunday, Queenstown packed with people and a downhill race that finishes in the middle of the town…what more can you want? This is incredible that in the first year of the gondola opening there are already a few great races happening. Geoff Hunt is the man for putting some professional outlook into this.

Tune in later to find out who is World Champion…sort of.
