Meanwhile in France… That’s right in some poor planning of dates the 2014 Megavalanche sat on the same weekend as the La Thuile EWS round meaning that a number of heavy hitters were not in attendance. That said, a fricken massive crew of Kiwis decided the Mega was a better offer and for Meg Bichard who finished 2nd in the ladies and Reon Boe who finished third it most definitely was. Rain hit the course hard and for some that meant pushing their bikes through glue like churned up goop. As you can see from the below results Reon wasn’t alone in the top 100, with Vertigo Bike local Jon Stout in 39th, Joe Nation in 53rd, Kelly McGarry in 64th and Rupert Chapman in 65th.
