V10-green-side

I’ve got to admit I really do find it hard to get excited about DH bikes these days, which all stems from my inability to actually ride one properly. However, recently two bikes have ignited a little bit of interest: the always classic alloy Turner DHR which Scolsey’s going to be riding this New Zealand season and this new full carbon V10c bad boy from the folks at Santa Cruz.

With 64 World Cup podiums, 14 World Cup Wins and 3 World Championship Golds, the Santa Cruz V10c is so far ahead of the game it’s in danger of requiring a biological passport.

The all new, all carbon, V10c is now the lightest and strongest downhill bike in the world.

Honed from years of refinement through brutal testing by the Santa Cruz Syndicate, the V10c is now identical to the bikes Minnaar, Peaty and Bryceland race.

Proprietary carbon molding techniques deliver a sub-7 lb frame that’s nearly 2 lbs lighter than before, yet stronger than ever.

So much so, that they have extended the warranty to 5 years, maintained the lifetime guarantee on bearings and still offer the crash replacement policy.

  1. Sorry, but isn’t the Trek Session Carbon lighter? It is 7.2 pounds with DHX RC4 (and steel spring).

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen you ride a DH bike Caleb.
