my-leg

So a few spokemagazine.com readers have given me a little grief regarding the lack of original posts since… well, since Christmas. I don’t have a bunch of excuses, but we have just come off a pretty heavy deadline trying to get an issue of both Spoke and Manual out the door to the printers. But my latest lack of posts is due to something entirely different, an AXE. Yup, I was outside chopping wood when part of my log splitter broke off and went shooting into my leg with the speed of a bullet. It decided it would head 52mm into my leg and lodge itself next to my thigh bone. After three days in hospital, 13 stitches and a 12cm cut on my leg, I’m back. And our regular programming should resume shortly, that’s more Frankly Thursdays, Inside Outsides and when Sven gets his shit together, maybe some Signing in with Svens. We have plans for a few more regular features including wallpapers and more photos, so check back regularly. Oh and we have a few cool giveaways lined up too…

  1. Dude that looks kinda painful. Could be worse though….know someone who just got 3 fingers crunched off by a tractor-driven woodsplitter. Bit messy really.

  3. Get better soon. My partner got an inch square splinter stuck in her leg while having a quiet walk, after an awesome day downhilling at Queenstown Bike Park! Hello 4 hours in ED and the end of our holiday!
