Yesterday it was an early mission up Makara Peak, and this morning it was a mission of a different nature. After a failed rendezvous last night (actually I piked cause it was way too cold) Dave Read (Manual‘s editor and my business partner) rounded up Manual co-founder and fashion guru Ruben Bryant and fellow partner in crime J Dilla for an assault on my secret stash on Mt KauKau above Wellington. I’ve had my eye on this zone for its MTB potential for a while now, but the moment the snow started to fall I new it would be steep enough to snowboard on and have tonne of fun. Turns out I wasn’t wrong and the snow stuck around a lot longer in our secret bowl than a lot of other places today. Anyway here’s this morning in pictures. I think it’s time I did some real work.
