FullSizeRender The first big enduro of the year went down at Mt Buller resort today in Victoria, Australia. Heavy hitters like Jerome Clementz, Jared Graves, Richie Rude, Troy Brosnan and Sam Hill were in attendance, and as you can see from the above podium Jared Graves maintained last year’s World Championship form with a solid win almost 1 minute ahead of second placer finisher Troy Brosnan in his first ever multi-stage enduro race. Ryan de la Rue, who has spent a good deal of time building trails at Buller for Glen Jacobs, managed a third ahead of Richie Rude in fourth and Sam Hill in fifth. Having visited Buller recently I can attest to the very pedal-heavy nature of the trails and it seems that these pedally sections conspired against a not-yet-100% Jerome Clementz. Racing was tight though with just 1.17 separating the top five and just under 1.29 separating the top 10.

Over on the women’s podium Peta Mullens took the win, followed by Brodie Chapman in second, Claire Whiteman in third, Jerome’s partner Pauline Dieffenthaler in fourth and Sarsha Huntington in fifth.
