For the last few days we have been riding the new SRAM XO downhill cranks. Not many people have seen or ridden these carbon babies and Spoke were among the first. SRAM say that when developing the cranks for the complete XO groupset (more on that later) they wanted to make a crank that was light enough for trail/XC duties but could be adapted (using a wider, stiffer axle) for downhill use. More on the cranks and XO goodness when the dust has settled after Crankworx, by which time you will probably be riding them anyway as they’re about to ship very soon.
