Spoke loves the Interislander. It seems we also like 29ers. So we couldn’t have been more excited when we heard that the Aratere was getting extended and was to be rolling on some larger hoops. So unless you suffer from Thalassophobia or Hydrophobia you should be as stoked as us that the Aratere is now bigger and badder. They even produced their own 7 minute mini doco on the whole process. Looks like it just bolted straight in.
Aratere had a new 30-metre mid-body installed, along with a new bow, new stern profile, new propellors, and a new interior, as part of a multi-million dollar extension and refurbishment project carried out at the Sembawang shipyards in Singapore.
