Further expanding its mountain bike reach internationally, Teva is proud to welcome Thomas Genon to its team of professional riders.
Kick starting his career at an early age, Thomas learned how to ride jumps with his dad when he was just eight years old. Since then, he has travelled the globe competing on the FMB (Freeride Mountain Bike) World Tour and perfecting his technique along the way. He wrapped up the 2012 season in 3rd overall FMBWT ranking after winning Red Bull Joyride at Crankworx Whistler, 1st at 26 TRIX and 1st at DaKine Air Strike.
“From what I have heard, Teva is a true family in which riders feel at home. To me, that is the most important thing and I am very excited to be a part of this kind of program,” says Genon.
Genon joins fellow Teva riders including Jeff Lenosky, Cam McCaul, Kurt Sorge, Sam Pilgrim, Paul Basagoitia, Chad Kagy and Kelly McGarry.
Solidified by the launch of its first mountain bike shoe, the Links, the Teva brand is steadfast in its support of the mountain bike community through product innovation, events and athletes. In 2013, the brand continues its commitment to the sport with its sponsorship of Crankwork Les 2 Alps and Whistler, Sea Otter Classic and Queenstown Bike Festival as well as introducing the first all-mountain clipless shoe, the Pivot, which will launch in May.
And if rumours are true you’ll be able to see Thomas bring the heat at the Teva Slopesyle in Queenstown in March!!!
