We ‘spoke’ to Ross and this is what he had to say.
“My quiver includes a couple of Remedys, Session DH bike, Top Fuel for XC, Fuel EX, and an XO cross bike. But my favourite bike has to be the Remedy. It’s suitable for pretty much every ride I do, I’d even race XC on it.”
And for all those who think singlespeeding is the domain of rigid hardtails, think again…
“Yeah, I chose the Top Fuel for SSWC because it’s the most “XC” of all my bikes. I set it up with a new XX Hydraulic lockout, 120mm Rock Shox Reba up front (20mm Thru-axle) for added stiffness and ample travel. There is no way I could ride a hardtail, or anything less than 4″ of travel. Anything less is for fun-haters who like to ride slow.”
Fun Haters… I LOVE IT!

Fun Haters -All I saw when I was in NZ were dudes on XC race bikes spewing forth some mantra that I assume must have been posted on Vorb due to the fact that it was pretty much the first line out of everyones mouth – “YOU HAVE TO GO UP TO COME DOWN . Bring on_ SS duallies-events that you need a bashguard for and better quality suspension seatposts!!!
