Fort William World Cup Gallery
Round two of the UCI Downhill World Cup went down over the weekend in Fort Williams, Scotland, and as per usual the kiwi riders gave it their all in the wet and slippery conditions.
Across the board it was a bit of a mixed weekend with plenty of bad luck mixed in, for example the Santa Cruz Syndicate had their bikes nicked which left Junior hopeful Lachlan McNab having to borrow a bike, Jess Blewitt broke her collarbone in qualifiers (we hope you heal up soon Jess!), while Sam Blinkensop, Brook Macdonald and Tohoto-Ariki Pene all got flats in the qualifiers and missed out on finals.
On the bright side Jenna Hastings took fourth in the Junior Womens, Lachlan Stevens-Mcnab came 6th in the Junior Mens and Ed Masters managed to sneak inside the top 20’s for his final result in the Elite Mens category.
