Leif and I headed up to Wainui to ride one of our favourite trails yesterday afternoon, Rata Ridge. My form was a bit off but this trail is AMAZING and still sits as my BTE.

Hey Caleb, I’ve never ridden Rata Ridge before – where did you start, you ride from Stanley st to the Wainui lookout? Cheers, Tim [ You park at the summit and head south along the ridge towards Days Bay, there’s a bit of pushing. When you get to the look out, head left towards Wainui and follow ridge. At the end of the single track both fire breaks will take you into the Wainui, the first fork ending at the BP]

I always do this ride if I’m doing Wainuiomata area. Definitely one of the best trails in Welly IMO.
