Crankworx Summer Series 2021 Comes to an End

The Crankworx Summer Series was an incredible event, and we’re sad it’s over already!

Grass roots vibes and top tier racing blended together perfectly to create an extremely fun yet competitive environment for riders and spectators, with stellar crowds amping the athletes up at all events.

In true Central Otago fashion all courses were on another level, with the Alexandra Super D showcasing some of the spicier, more unique technical racing we’ve ever witnessed in New Zealand. The series then continued at the new pump track at Skyline Queenstown, followed by the extremely wet Queenstown DH race the following day, which had many of the riders battling to stay on their bikes. The series then made the trip to Cardrona Bike Park for the Air DH, with riders battling it out to be the quickest down a brand new trail packed 2.5km with of berms, jumps and and other features. The series final stop happened on Sunday at Wānaka’s Glendhu Bike Park, which had riders going head to head on identical courses to take the crown in the Dual Slalom event.

Congratulations to the overall series pro winners Sam Blenkinsop and Jenna Hastings, for the full results click here
