Maes Movements ft Vero Sandler

Vero Sandler has made Wales her home over the last few years. Now, she’s just finished carving her very own dream line into its countryside.

‘Maes’ in Welsh means to set aside a field for a specific purpose – for Sam Hodgson and Vero, this meant crafting their perfect freeride course in their backyard.

The couple aren’t strangers to digging their own trails. It’s part and parcel of being a freerider, and something she loves almost as much as she does riding. The whole process is appealing, from finding a spot, to figuring out what to build there, then testing it, changing it a million times and riding it with a crew.

“We put our hearts and souls into this build,” Vero said, “and it’s only the very start of what’s gonna go down in our new back yard!

“This has been a dream of mine since I was a kid growing up watching freeride films, so stoked on the new adventure.”
