Trek releases line of recycled mountain bike clothing

Trek introduced a new line of trail-tough cycling clothing that treads lighter on the planet. The new clothing – tech tees and shorts for men, women and youth riders – is designed for durability on the trail and made with earth-conscious fabrics that contain recycled material.

The main body fabrics on Trek mountain bike clothing carry the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® label, which tests for harmful substances, and every garment contains fabrics made with a percentage of recycled plastic water bottles. The full spring/summer 2023 clothing collection has helped divert over 800,000 bottles from landfills (based on an average 500 ml PET water bottle).

In developing the new line, Trek clothing designers sought to further Trek’s commitment to sustainability while taking inspiration from iconic trail landscapes and using an earth-toned colour palette to create a timeless, minimally branded line that’s both rugged and refined. By using more sustainable fabrics that help divert waste from landfills, the designers have created a collection that stands up to the rigours of the trail and respects the environment where it’ll be put to the test.

All-new Trek mountain bike clothing is available immediately online at trekbikes.com in select markets and at Trek retailers around the world.
