Dust off that skinsuit and fit some sprigs, Monster Cross is coming!

Following the highly popular Huttcross and Kapiti Cyclocross series held in Wellington over winter of last year, cyclists with a penchant for cowbells and cantilevers will have the opportunity to go up against one another albeit atop less mud and at faster speeds.

The kind folks behind the Kapiti CX series are offering a summer cyclocross event to satiate the off-camber, two-wheel drift appetites of the regions burgeoning cross fan-base. January 31st shall see riders square off at Grenwall Road, Waikanae with A, B, C and a kids grade for varying skill and fitness levels. Supplementing the more traditional cyclocross circuit, a bicycle speedway race will follow, catering to riders after even more sideways action.

Spoke’s race reports of Huttcross rounds last year are worth checking out, and head over to the Kapiti CX facebook page for all the upcoming series details.
