The Oxford Forest lies a couple of hours north of Christchurch in the foothills of the Southern Alps. Ripe with beech forest singletrack, it has outrageously good mountain biking in a stunning location. The Wharfedale Track is an oldie but a goodie and requires some love, specifically to repair drainage close to the saddle.

A strong contingent of volunteers provided the Wharfedale with some much needed love at the 2015 Ground Effect Slush Fund Work Party. Thankfully not all of it was hard work from the looks of it. In addition to digging drains some riding amid stunning beech forest was included, not to mention the benefits of positive trail karma further down the track.
