It’s Eurobike time, which means a bunch of new 2014 bits and pieces will be hitting the web and TSG have wasted no time firing out this press release regarding three new 2014 helmets. There’s a totally new all-mountain helmet, the next generation of MTB full-face helmets and a revolutionary helmet combining soft-shell comfort with the certified safety of a hard-shell. These three helmets should be hitting NZ shores in Jan/Feb. Pricing for the Substance is a ridiculous $99!
SUBSTANCE
The Substance 3.0 is the ideal helmet for both all-mountain and city bikers with high expectations for maximum ventilation and contemporary design. This all-mountain off-road helmet features a double in-mould construction and thus maximum stability while being exceptionally lightweight at only 290g. 18 generously-sized vents guarantee optimum ventilation while mesh inserts in the front vents reliably restrain insects. Includes washable foam padding and adjustable visor for added convenience and usability. The fit-optimized Tri-Fit adjustment system at the back allows individual height adjustment via easy, single-hand use…
ADVANCE
TSG introduces the new Advance Helmet and sends a clear signal that the full-face helmet sector is also one of growing interest to the brand. The Advance comes in a rugged design, combining aggressive styling with progressive technology. The functional, clean design of the outer shell makes it equally perfect for downhill racing and other action sports that require extra-sturdy construction. Equipped with a new, revolutionary ventilation system. Fresh air passes through hidden ventilation tunnels within the EPS foam towards vent holes inside the helmet, which direct a cooling air stream right onto the wearer’s head. Guaranteed free air flow…
DAWN FLEX
For its 25th anniversary TSG launches the all-new Dawn Helmet, the first full-cut, half-shell helmet with ear coverage that fulfils international helmet safety standards. Consequently the popular, classic retro design is re-introduced into today’s helmet designs. However, the Swiss have taken it a step further: they have constructed the new Dawn Flex Helmet with a FlexTech inner shell. Therefore the helmet is no longer rigid as in past incarnations, but is now soft – and yet it still fulfills all helmet standards and safety requirements for design and impact protection. The results are impressive: the Dawn Flex Helmet is soft, comfortable, certified and safe. The inner shell is constructed from several EPS foam segments which are interconnected by a reinforced nylon web belt, while the specific composition of the outer shell material provides additional flexibility. The helmet flexes, moves and adapts perfectly to the individual shape of each head…
