Inside Outside is a weekly spotlight of inspiring stuff from inside the web but outside of mountain biking. Each week we ask someone from within mountain biking to give us their top five daily websites that aren’t just about mountain biking. This week we get an eclectic mix from freerider turned film maker Darcy Turrenne.

Darcy the mountain biker doesn’t need much introduction. However, there are many other sides to Darcy, who recently spent a few years studying for a degree in media communications, all while keeping a hectic schedule of travel, TV presenting, and event organising as a fully paid up professional athlete. With a very wide creative streak, she has in recent years taken to film making, something for which she has a natural talent. Check out her sites (links at the bottom of the page) for a taste of some of her works of documentary movie making and storytelling.

Pretty Much Amazing – This site is one of the staples I go to get good music. After going here, it usually leads to hours wasted finding even more music on more obscure music blogs.

Walidazami – This is the blog of one of my very best friends in the whole wide world. I didn’t include it to promote him. I swear. He is brilliant, entertaining, sometimes profound, and walks in a very different circle than I do. We recently shot a music video together. It was hilarious. We have the same birthday, and hence, we are friends. He’s a good writer.

I Am Katie Doyle – This girl, whom I don’t know, posts pretty pictures. I found her on Tumblr after I started a blog for a documentary called The Eighth Parallel that I made this winter in Indonesia. I don’t know how I came across her specifically, but the pictures she posts always give me good ideas for videos I’d like to make.

Vimeo – Vimeo is amazing. These are the best videos on there.

BBC World In Pictures  – I always end up here for world news, but get allured by these amazing pictures.
More inspiration…however after looking at these I usually read the news on the site. These are just a warm up.
