Intense just released their new ACV (Air Cushioned Vehicle), a specifically designed 27.5+ bike with wider 2.8″ tyres for the ultimate traction both climbing or descending any terrain. With an agile geometry and 130mm adjustable travel it aims to deliver supreme ride quality.

The new ACV 27.5+ looks hot…

The  ACV has a progressive modern geometry based around a very pretty and rigid carbon fibre frame.  It caters towards the growing ‘plus’ segment while remaining agile, light weight and capable of handling big hits in its stride.  This is a bike that can go anywhere…

The ACV is the second new frame from Intense after the Spider 275C to use the all new JS Tuned suspension layout.  A slight departure from the venerable VPP suspension system previously used, the JS Tuned layout uses three different linkages for the intended purpose of the bike, whether that be XC/Trail, Trail/Enduro or Freeride/Park/DH.  The JS Tuned link is tucked right in the back end of the main frame, allowing a super tight rear end in combination with the shortest chain stays possible and Boost 148 rear wheel spacing.  Intense’s angular contact/collet bearing system is carried over, as well as the replaceable grease zerk fittings.

The ACV also receives modern trail geometry, with a head tube angle at just a touch over 66 degrees and a chainstay length of 438mm.   Adjustable travel again features, with options for either 130mm or 115mm, and the frame can accommodate tires up to three inches in width, the two of which adding up to a super cushy and grippy ride.
